San Antonio · In IT since 2004

Hi, I'm Jordan Polasek.

I am a San Antonio-based technology professional and the Founder and Managing Partner of BVTech LLC, an award-winning managed IT and commercial IT/AV firm. I have worked in technology since 2004 and established BVTech in 2013. The firm is built on engineering rather than improvisation: I lead installer and engineering crews, compete for large commercial contracts, and deliver them on schedule and under budget. From multi-site restaurants and real-estate offices to ground-up network and audiovisual buildouts, every cable, port, and design decision passes through my own engineering and supervision.

About Jordan Polasek

A working engineer who leads a crew — with fewer layers between the person who scopes the project and the person standing in your server room to deliver it.

Jordan Polasek is a San Antonio-based technology professional and the Founder and Managing Partner of BVTech LLC (Bexar Virtual Technical Solutions). He has worked in information technology since 2004 and established BVTech in 2013. Over the course of two decades he has designed and constructed networks, cloud tenants, endpoint fleets, cybersecurity programs, VoIP systems, and complete commercial audiovisual and structured-cabling installations — for organizations ranging from single-physician medical practices to multi-location restaurants, real-estate brokerages, retail chains, and ground-up commercial buildouts.

BVTech is an engineering practice, not a solo help desk. Jordan leads installer and engineering crews, competes for substantial commercial contracts, and delivers them on schedule and under budget. He has secured thousands of endpoints in production environments — including engagements supporting national brands such as Keller Williams and Massage Envy. On larger projects, BVTech collaborates with other established providers, among them SD-Tech and MECITS, and engages skilled audiovisual and IT installers drawn from Alamo Colleges and the regional trade community. Every one of those professionals works under Jordan's direct engineering and supervision. The crew scales to the demands of the project; the standard of work does not.

That structure is precisely why the firm's 2023 SuperOps Solo MSP of the Year distinction carries weight: the award measures the quality of delivery rather than headcount or revenue, and BVTech earned first place against an international field. Alongside his client work, Jordan is approximately 96 percent through a Bachelor of Applied Technology in Cloud Computing at Northwest Vista College, where he maintains a 4.0 grade-point average. The curriculum — AWS architecture, Azure identity, containerization, and infrastructure scripting in Python — feeds directly into the systems BVTech deploys. He is an AWS Academy Cloud Foundations graduate and a 1Password Enterprise Password Manager certified administrator, and he works daily in Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti UniFi, 3CX, DialPad, Guardz, and SuperOps.

Through BVTech LLC, Jordan Polasek delivers managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud administration, VoIP, commercial audiovisual systems, and network infrastructure to businesses from the firm's San Antonio headquarters, serving Houston, Austin, New Braunfels, Sugar Land, and the broader Gulf Coast. On-site support extends throughout a 150-mile radius, and remote support is available nationwide.

🏆

SuperOps Solo MSP of the Year 2023 — First Place

Jordan Polasek and BVTech LLC were named the foremost solo-operated managed service provider worldwide by SuperOps, the PSA and RMM platform relied upon by thousands of MSPs across North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. The distinction was earned as a solo operator; the practice has since grown into a crew-led firm that upholds the same standard of delivery.

Capabilities

What Jordan Polasek Does

Nine core practice areas, delivered through BVTech LLC and refined across two decades of production environments — without outsourcing or white-label vendors concealed behind the logo.

🛡️

Cybersecurity

Layered endpoint protection, dark-web monitoring, phishing simulation, vulnerability scanning, and incident response run through the Guardz platform. Every client gets a documented baseline and quarterly posture reviews.

☁️

Cloud & Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365 tenant administration, Azure and AWS workloads, hybrid identity, on-prem-to-cloud migration, and conditional access design. Real architecture documentation, not screenshots and guesswork.

🌐

Network & Wi-Fi

Ubiquiti UniFi and Cisco Meraki deployments from small offices to multi-building campuses. VLAN segmentation, site-to-site VPN, next-generation firewall policy, and full Cat6 structured cabling.

📞

VoIP & Unified Comms

3CX and DialPad cloud phone systems, SIP trunking, e911 compliance, Microsoft Teams voice, and soft-phone deployments for remote and hybrid teams.

🖥️

Managed IT

Around-the-clock monitoring, proactive patching, RMM-driven maintenance, hardware lifecycle planning, and a real help desk answered by humans who already know your environment.

💾

Backup & Recovery

Automated, air-gapped, ransomware-resilient backup for workstations, servers, and Microsoft 365 mailboxes. Tested restores quarterly. Documented RPO and RTO targets, not marketing fluff.

📷

Security Cameras & AV

UniFi Protect and Axis IP camera deployments, cloud video retention, access control, conference-room AV, and digital signage — integrated with the network rather than bolted on top.

🤖

AI & Automation

Microsoft Copilot licensing, tenant-side data boundaries, workflow automation through Power Automate and n8n, and pragmatic AI-voice experiments — adopted only where they earn their keep.

📋

IT Consulting

Technology roadmaps, vendor management, HIPAA and PCI-DSS compliance guidance, cyber-insurance application support, and budget planning for businesses scaling from five to fifty employees.

Professional history

The Professional History of Jordan Polasek

From a robotics workbench on the Gulf Coast to an award-winning, crew-led IT and audiovisual firm in San Antonio — a deliberate progression.

Early career

Institute of Robotics — Clear Lake Shores, Texas

Jordan's first professional technical work involved industrial robotics and control systems on the Texas Gulf Coast. Direct experience with programmable logic controllers, sensors, and networking established the discipline that still governs his approach to infrastructure: no installation is complete until its underlying logic and wiring are coherent.

The detour

Blinn College and Clinical Sleep Medicine

Coursework at Blinn College accompanied a formative chapter in clinical sleep medicine. Largely self-taught, Jordan earned the Certified Polysomnographic Technologist credential as certificate #294 — among the first several hundred issued nationwide — and practiced as a technologist with SleepMed and as a partner in two sleep laboratories, Brazos Valley Sleep and Drifters Sleep. The standard of medical-grade documentation he acquired there continues to define BVTech's work.

2004

A Full Commitment to Information Technology

Jordan committed to information technology full-time in 2004, reinforcing his field experience with formal training at MyComputerCareer in Houston — the complete progression of networking, systems administration, and security through the ethical-hacker level. He chose to apply that knowledge to building and defending production networks rather than to pursue a perpetual cycle of continuing-education credits.

2013

BVTech LLC Established

Bexar Virtual Technical Solutions LLC was founded in the San Antonio area, concentrating initially on small-business networking and Windows domain administration. Its earliest clients were medical practices and retail businesses — a foundation that continues to anchor the firm's roster today.

2016–2022

From Project Work to a Managed Practice

BVTech evolved from break/fix and project engagements into a comprehensive managed-services model — continuous monitoring, patch management, security, and help-desk support — while undertaking larger commercial buildouts. To deliver them, Jordan established supervised installer crews and formed partnerships with established providers and trade installers, expanding capacity without compromising the engineering standard.

2023

SuperOps Solo MSP of the Year — First Place

Against an international field, BVTech earned first place in the Solo MSP category of the SuperOps MSP Awards. Achieved as a solo operator, the recognition reflects the quality of delivery and the breadth of environments served — the same standard that now governs every crew Jordan deploys to a job site.

2024–Present

The Deliberate Move to the Cloud

The fundamentals of networking and security have changed little, but the industry has migrated decisively to the cloud, and Jordan has followed it by design. He is approximately 96 percent through a Bachelor of Applied Technology in Cloud Computing at Northwest Vista College, maintaining a 4.0 grade-point average, with AWS, Azure, containerization, and cloud security flowing directly into the environments BVTech builds.

How the work is delivered

A Firm with a Crew, Not a Sole Operator

BVTech competes for and delivers substantial commercial engagements — complete network and audiovisual buildouts, multi-site deployments, and endpoint security at scale. Jordan engineers and supervises each one, and the crew is sized to the demands of the project.

📐

Engineered and Supervised

Every design, cable run, and configuration is engineered by Jordan and delivered under his direct supervision. The crew expands for large buildouts and contracts for steady-state operations, while the standard of work remains constant.

🤝

An Established Partner Network

On larger engagements, BVTech collaborates with other reputable providers, including SD-Tech and MECITS, alongside skilled audiovisual and IT installers drawn from Alamo Colleges and the regional trade community — all working under BVTech's engineering direction.

⏱️

On Schedule and Under Budget

Jordan bids competitively and delivers precisely what he scoped, completing commercial projects on schedule and within budget, with full documentation transferred at closeout rather than promised and forgotten.

🛡️

Endpoint Security at Scale

Thousands of endpoints secured in production, including engagements supporting national brands such as Keller Williams and Massage Envy — layered protection, monitoring, and response that remains effective across distributed sites.

🏗️

Ground-Up Buildouts

Structured cabling, enterprise wireless, firewalls, surveillance, access control, and conference-room audiovisual systems — designed and installed as one integrated environment rather than assembled piecemeal by separate vendors.

📑

Accountable and Bid-Ready

Formal proposals, transparent materials markup, competitive labor, and a disciplined closeout. BVTech bids government and corporate work and stands behind every figure it submits.

Education and community

The BVTech Academy

Jordan Polasek also designs and maintains the BVTech Academy — a free, gamified IT and cybersecurity learning platform for adult learners, built in Texas. It applies the same hands-on, documentation-first philosophy that defines BVTech LLC, in a setting where MSP owners, IT professionals, and serious learners can genuinely advance their skills.

Six structured tracks, server-graded examinations, hands-on capstones, a live Cyber Range, public leaderboards, and a moderated community for adult learners — each designed and administered by Jordan Polasek under BVTech LLC.

Demonstrated, not asserted

Why Texas Businesses Trust Jordan Polasek

Five qualities that distinguish an engineer practicing since 2004 from a marketing website.

📐

Engineered by the Principal

Every design and buildout is engineered and supervised by Jordan personally, whether delivered by a two-person crew or a full installation team. Your environment is never handed to an unfamiliar technician.

📚

Documentation First

Each client receives a written asset register, network diagram, and credential vault, maintained continuously and transferred at closeout rather than produced once and abandoned.

🎓

Current, Not Coasting

A 4.0 grade-point average and roughly 96 percent through an active Cloud Computing degree, with AWS Academy Cloud Foundations and 1Password certifications. Two decades in, and still advancing.

🏆

Independently Recognized

SuperOps Solo MSP of the Year 2023, first place — a juried international distinction, not a pay-to-play directory listing.

📦

Delivers What It Bids

Competitive bids on commercial work, delivered on schedule and within budget, with crews and partners scaled to the engagement and held to a single engineering standard.

"The right technology partner is not the firm with the largest logo. It is the one that already knows which switch port serves your point-of-sale terminal, which user holds administrative rights they should not, and exactly what your backup accomplished last night. I bid the work, I engineer the work, and my crew delivers it — on schedule, within budget, and fully documented. That has been the standard since 2004, and it does not vary with the size of the room." — Jordan Polasek, Founder and Managing Partner, BVTech LLC
