What a Slow Response Really Costs You
I think a lot about response time — not just in IT, in everything. The gap between “something broke” and “someone’s on it” is where trust is either built or quietly lost. Most businesses underrate how much that gap costs.
People forgive problems, not silence
Nobody expects perfection. What they can’t stand is not knowing whether anyone heard them. A fast “we’ve got it, here’s what’s happening” buys more goodwill than a slow, perfect fix. Silence is the thing that ends relationships.
Speed is a system, not a hero
Fast response isn’t about someone heroically staying up late. It’s monitoring that catches the problem before the customer does, and a clear path for who picks it up. Build the system and the speed stops depending on any one person’s energy.
That’s how I think about it, anyway. If you want a second set of eyes on your own setup, reach out — happy to talk it through.
