The Cheapest Growth Move Is Turning On What You Already Pay For

Before a client spends on a shiny new platform, I ask to see what they already pay for. Almost every time, half the answer they were about to buy is sitting unused inside a subscription they’ve had for two years.

You’re probably paying for tools you never turned on

Microsoft 365, your CRM, your accounting software — they’ve quietly grown features you’re not touching. Automations, security settings, reporting, integrations. It’s money already spent, delivering nothing, waiting to be switched on.

Audit before you add

Once or twice a year, list what you pay for monthly and what each one actually does for you. The exercise usually finds two things: subscriptions to cancel, and features to finally use. Both make you money, and neither requires buying anything new.

That’s how I think about it, anyway. If you want a second set of eyes on your own setup, reach out — happy to talk it through.
